• First of all, or as some say "Family First". A marriage between a man and a woman is divine and sacred. There are few things in this life that brings the joy felt from the close bonds developed through nurturing of family and matrimonial relationships. The union of marriage is one of the most inspiring and comforting relationships that we can help us endure and progress in this life on earth.
• In addition to the love and devotion we have for our Lord and Savior, we should also cherish our spouses with such adoration. In the union of marriage, a partnership is formed whereas not one person is more important than the other, rather an equality is formed and support for one another is paramount. Through thoughtful listening and careful communication, marriage can be strengthened in a way that results in greater blessings from God to one another.
• Anything that might distract us from our loving partners should be avoided. For example, couples should stay away from pornography, improper thoughts, fantasies or any activities that might lead to separation by unfaithfulness. A constant love and devotion to mirror the relationships we have with our Heavenly Father is necessary to enjoy the fulness of the joy and blessings that are possible with this covenant.

A woman and man can come closer to God through praying together and supporting each other's individual and spiritual goals. Over time as each person in a marriage commits to and devoutly supports the other, the relationship will continue to thrive and provide the level of happiness that we all seek.
